Assessment of Patients' Satisfaction with Pharmaceutical Care Services in a Nigerian Teaching Hospital: A Cross Sectional Study

Objective: Pharmaceutical Care (PC) services have come to be the cornerstone of pharmacy practice all over world. PC has been linked better clinical and humanistic outcomes for patients. In Nigeria, only a few studies analyzed pharmacists' pharmaceutical care in hospitals. This study aims ascertain patients' satisfaction with evaluate practices Nigerian hospitals.
 Methods: was cross-sectional using semi-structured questionnaire among inpatients outpatients visiting five clinics hospital. The interviewer-administered. Descriptive statistics were used summarize findings. chi-square test determine association between respondents' sociodemographic variables their towards medication counselling.
 Results: Five hundred three patients participated study. Females that formed 58.6% total population. Approximately 71.4% respondents satisfied provided by pharmacists Most participants (70.8%) completed tertiary education, majority (63.4%) visits follow-ups. There no statistically significant correlation factors satisfaction, except age patronage, which showed positive association.
 Conclusion: Patients at University Nigeria teaching hospital offered pharmacists. However, some noted level dissatisfaction willingness re-counsel upon request. An effective policy strategy would address issue raise satisfaction.
